Inclusive Trade in Global Sporting Goods Industry
Date: Wednesday, September 28, 2016, 13:00 CET
Venue: WTO Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland
Entitled “Inclusive Trade”, the 2016 Public Forum held from 27 to 29 September at the WTO’s headquarters in Geneva focused on how to ensure that trade benefits everyone, with a particular emphasis on enabling women, innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to take advantage of the opportunities provided by trade.

For the third year in a row WFSGI also took the opportunity to host a session at the forum to highlight the inclusive nature of the sporting goods industry – an inclusiveness that is based on both local and global integration of SMEs in the industry’s global value chains, and the digitalization revolution. The WFSGI was pleased to have the following speakers on the panel:
- Ms. Kristine Marvin - Vice President and General Counsel, Timberland (VF Corporation)
- Ms. Ingrid Persson - Manager International Trade EMEA Government and Public Affairs, Nike, Inc.
- Ms. Aster Kamp - Manager Regulatory & Ethical Affairs/ Compliance Officer EMEA, Asics
- Ms. Marina Carvalho - President, APICE (Brazilian Association for Sporting Goods Industry and Commerce)
The session was moderated by Ms. Helen Ford, Senior Executive Director at WFSGI Asia.
